A Weber charcoal BBQ tastefully situated at a bbq station I built in a style I call 'indigent outhouse'

Amp, Speakers, Sub-woofer, Bluetooth dongle: all you need to make a helluva racket. Best thing is... nobody around to tell you to turn it down. Rare thing in Japan.

Internet

The house does not have a fixed internet connection. I used a rental WIFI router. These are rent and reasonably priced for medium term stays. Mobile phones work fine with no signal issues.

This TV nowadays seems like a paean to old school, high quality Japanese consumer electronics. A survivor from the early flatscreen days, its over engineered features and fine finish marks the swansong for competitive Japanese home electronics produced via inhouse suppliers. A 37 inchPanasonic plasma TV - look at it and you might almost feel nostalgia for the Sonys, Sharps and Sanyos...well, maybe not, it's just a TV. It has multiple rca connectors and luckily one HDMI to connect Chromecast, AppleTV or whatever...

A nerdy weather station that measures temperature, humidity, windspeed, and rainfall. There is a display unit beside the doors leading to the deck. I have it for a couple of years now and the all-time recorded low temperature is -2C and the all time high is 36C. Top wind: 59km/h.

I have 3 hammock locations. This is the hanging hammock, ideal for afternoon book reading

Plenty of deckspace

Parking

Parking? Aye, we've got parking.
